PENNAN & NEW ABERDOUR
|
Just round the coast from
Fraserburgh are a number of old and picturesque villages.
Sandhaven, Rosehearty, New Aberdour and Pennan to mention just a
few. These villages, nestling on the edge of the North Sea and
Moray Firth, are a must for visitors to the North East. Indeed
Pennan has gained an international reputation since it was used
as a location for the film 'Local Hero' starring Burt Lancaster.
The famous red phone box is still there as is the pub featured in
the film. For all the attention, Pennan has remained remarkable
unspoiled. The natural beauty of the red stone cliffs around
Pennan and New Aberdour has to be seen to be believed.
Sit back and enjoy just a few of the sights of this area.
