FRASERBURGH
|
Fraserburgh is a small but
important fishing town in the Buchan area. It has developed over
the past 400 years since being made a royal burgh. It is a
popular resort for holiday makers coming to the region, being
convenient for touring all over Aberdeenshire and West towards
Inverness.
There are many historically important sites within easy driving
distance of the town and the many small villages which lie round
about Fraserburgh contain many charming places worth visiting.
One of Fraserburgh's most famous 'sons' was Thomas Blake Glover
who was born in the town and later went on to travel to Japan and
found the giant Mitsubishi company.
